Below is a listing of the unadjusted ballpark ratings for all OOSL and American Association parks. First, here are the rules for ballparks in both leagues, taken directly from the OOSL Constitution:

X. Ballparks

A. Each team has a historical ballpark which is affiliated with the city that team currently resides in and was used in the actual history of their franchise.

B. A team can switch to a different historical ballpark in their home city, but must remain in the same ballpark for at least three seasons after changing from one to another.

C. Each ballpark has been assigned a historical rating to reflect the effect that park had on hitters over its history.

D. Team owners can elect to "move the fences" a bit: any of the four ballpark components can be moved up to two (2) numbers in either direction away from the historical assignment.

E. Teams that share a ballpark with a team in the other league can only change ballparks or shift their existing ballpark if the other team using the ballpark agrees.

Abiding by the above guidelines (particularly the fact that you can only change parks once every three years) you must declare your OOSL and AA ballpark choices by Friday, February 19. At that time, we will ascertain whether any two teams are sharing the same park and then set a new deadline for announcing how much you want to "move the fences" (tweak your ratings) for 1999. So, pick one of the available parks for each of your franchises. If there is a park that you want to use that is not listed, let me know and I will ask Lon to get the numbers for 2000. The announcement has already been made and the deadline past to request ballpark information for this year.
